Barbara and Lee Maimon Teaching Gallery

The Barbara and Lee Maimon Teaching Gallery is a dynamic learning lab where faculty and students investigate course concepts through museum exhibitions and installations. A hybrid gallery-classroom space, the Teaching Gallery supports collaboration among museum staff, faculty, and students to foster critical inquiry across disciplinary boundaries and embed the museum’s collection into the university curriculum, ranging from materials science and medicine to history and communications. In support of Penn State’s mission, the Teaching Gallery brings innovative teaching and research to our communities across the Commonwealth, encouraging deep engagement with art in an active learning environment.
