Made in PA on Paper

June 1 - September 8, 2024

Made in PA on Paper features a selection of prints, drawings, and watercolors from the permanent collection by artists who, through birth or residence, can claim a connection with the Keystone State. Expanding on one of the central themes of MADE in PA, notably “The Land and Its Legacies,” this companion exhibition brings together images relating to Pennsylvania’s scenic beauty, natural resources, and urban centers dating from the late 18th through early 20th centuries. An important component of the exhibition is the examination of Penn State’s legacy as a land-grant institution.

Among the artists represented in the exhibition are Benjamin West, Mary Cassatt, Dox Thrash, Alan Freelon, Charles Demuth, Riva Helfond, and William Trost Richards.

Organized by the Palmer Museum of Art.
